Unlike competing products, Equilibrium™ contains no sodium or chloride, elements that can be harmful to plant growth at elevated levels. Instead, it provides essential calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts that support both fish metabolism and lush plant growth. This product is ideally suited for use with reverse osmosis (RO) or deionized (DI) water, which often lack necessary minerals. Equilibrium™ raises the mineral and electrolyte content of the water, ensuring a healthy, balanced environment where aquatic plants and fish can thrive. It does so without affecting pH and helps promote stability in carbonate hardness (KH) when used alongside Seachem Alkaline Buffer™. To use, simply dissolve 16 g (1 tablespoon) of Equilibrium™ in water for every 80 L (20 US gallons) to increase GH by 3 dGH. For optimal solubility, mix with 1 L of water before adding it to your aquarium, where it may cause a slight haze that clears within 15–30 minutes.
