Remove your existing filter sock, drop the D4 into the sock chamber, and ensure the water depth above the tray is about 1 to 1.25 inches to allow accurate water-level detection. The sump should provide roughly 6 inches of clearance below the tray so the unit can sit properly, and an opening of at least 4.5 inches above the tray for easy access during setup and maintenance.
