Wavereef Dropin Roller Filter D7

$11.05 $13.81
The Wavereef Dropin Roller Filter D7 is an advanced, maintenance free mechanical filtration system designed to fit directly into standard 7-inch filter sock chambers. Engineered for convenience and clarity, this plug and play unit automatically removes suspended particles from aquarium water using a fine 50-micron fleece. As debris accumulates, the water level rises until an optical sensor activates the motor. This rolls the fleece forward to expose a clean section of media. This automated process ensures continuous and efficient filtration without the need for frequent manual maintenance, keeping your water consistently clear and polished. Effective And Easy To Use. The D7 offers filtration precision down to 50 microns. Working out to be about twice as effective as traditional filter socks. Thus providing exceptionally clean water while minimizing nutrient buildup. Designed for ease of use, it simply replaces your existing filter sock: remove the old sock, drop the D7 into the chamber, plug it in, and it’s ready to run. There’s no plumbing modification or special installation required. For larger or higher-flow systems, multiple D7 units can be operated side by side, giving aquarists a modular and scalable filtration solution. Specification and Use. Built for performance, the Wavereef Dropin Roller Filter D7 handles flow rates of up to 6,800 liters per hour and uses a 25-meter roll of 50-micron fleece. It is designed to fit a standard 18 centimeter (7-inch) sock hole and stands approximately 50 centimeters tall, making it ideal for aquariums between 800 and 1,500 liters. Its efficient design reduces both detritus buildup and water discolouration, leading to a cleaner, more stable system overall. Beyond clarity, the D7 offers substantial maintenance benefits. By automatically advancing the fleece, it eliminates the need for frequent filter sock changes, often running unattended for weeks or even months depending on your bio load. When the fleece roll is used up, replacement is quick, simple, and affordable. Because the D7 installs without any plumbing adjustments, it’s ideal for both new setups and retrofits into existing sumps. Installation. Installation requires only a few simple steps. Remove your existing filter sock, drop the D4 into the sock chamber, and ensure the water depth above the tray is about 1 to 1.25 inches to allow accurate water-level detection. The sump should provide roughly 6 inches of clearance below the tray so the unit can sit properly, and an opening of at least 4.5 inches above the tray for easy access during setup and maintenance.
