Oase OxyMax 200 high quality German made 200 litre an hour air pump. Oase OxyMax 200, supplied with 2 metres of air line and a diffuser that features bubble size control. The pump is not only powerful and quiet, the build quality is excellent. It might seem obvious Oase OxyMax 200 air pump is for but there a lot more to mention. The current that the bubbles create help the filter do its job better. The current helps lift detritus in to the water column where the filter then removes it. Planted tanks are high in oxygen when the lights are on as the plants produce it but at night the opposite is true. Plants use O2 and compete with the fish so the addition of an air pump on a timer for night time is a must in heavily planted tanks. Of course bubbles can look very pretty especially if illuminated.
