The Nyos Torq Gen2 Reactor Dock is the base unit of a modular media reactor system, engineered to bring high-performance filtration to marine and reef aquariums. Built to interface with TORQ reactor bodies (such as the 0.75 L, 1.0 L and 2.0 L variants), the Dock houses the pump, offers fine flow control and provides the “foundation” for your media reactor setup. It’s ideal if you want to run activated carbon, phosphate removers, bio-pellets, zeolite or other filter media in a clean and efficient manner. Installation is straightforward: set the Dock in your sump or filter cabinet, attach the chosen TORQ reactor body (sold separately) via the universal connector, fill with the media of your choice, and adjust the flow via the lid dial to suit your media type and system demands. The system achieves a maximum flow rate of up to 1,000 litres per hour, and operates at around 12 W power consumption. One of the key advantages of this modular system is flexibility. With the Dock in place, you can swap reactor body sizes or change media types without replacing the entire unit. It allows you to adapt your filtration strategy (for example switching from carbon to GFO) without replacing your base hardware. This means fewer surprises when a filtration task changes, and less frustration when you need to carry out maintenance or media replenishment. Which means that some of the media dose not have enough contact with the water. This of course leads to some of the media being used poorly or even worst wasted.
