What It Is. Tropica Specialised Nutrition is an all in one aquarium fertiliser containing essential macro nutrients, including nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P). Alongside potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), sulphur (S), iron (Fe), and a full range of trace elements such as: manganese, zinc, copper, boron and molybdenum. This comprehensive nutrient profile makes it ideal for tanks with many plants, particularly fast growing species that quickly consume available nutrients. What It’s Used For. This fertiliser is specifically formulated for aquariums with high plant mass, strong lighting, and/or CO₂ injection, where nutrient demand is significantly higher. It is especially effective in preventing and correcting nutrient deficiencies, such as pale leaves, stunted growth, or yellowing caused by a lack of nitrogen or iron. Specialised Nutrition should be added weekly, ideally after each water change. The pump dispenses 2 mL per push. Recommended dosage: 6 mL (3 pumps) per 50 litres of aquarium water per week. Adjust dosage according to plant density and growth rate. Because the product contains nitrogen and phosphorus, dosing must reflect plant demand. Overdosing can contribute to algae growth if excess nutrients remain in the water. If algae begin to appear: Reduce the dosage by 50%. Increase water changes by 50% to lower nutrient concentration and remove algae spores and organic build-up.
