Using Flourish Excel™ alongside CO2 can be especially helpful in preventing the pH of the aquarium from dropping too low, which can happen if too much CO2 is added. One of the unique benefits of Seachem Flourish Excel ™ is its ability to help plants use iron more effectively. It does this by converting iron into a form that plants can absorb more easily, which promotes better overall plant health. Plants need carbon to build the basic structures they use in photosynthesis. Flourish Excel™ provides a carbon compound similar to those plants naturally produce, allowing them to skip the usual CO2 conversion process. This means plants can start using the carbon right away, making Flourish Excel™ a highly efficient way to support plant growth. DIRECTIONS: For best results, use 1 capful (5 mL) of Seachem Flourish Excel ™ for every 40 liters (10 US gallons) of water when you first start using it or after a large water change. After that, you can use 1 capful for every 200 liters (50 US gallons) daily or every other day. For smaller doses, each cap thread holds about 1 mL, so you can adjust accordingly. Flourish Excel™ comes in various sizes, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs. On initial use or after a major (> 40%) water change, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons).
