All Aqua Pro Reef aquariums are built from ultra clear, low iron glass and come equipped with a wide range of high quality features, including a central overflow weir, multi chamber sump, top up reservoir and complete pipework set. The aquarium itself is constructed from crystal clear glass with a braceless design for a clean, modern look and easy maintenance access. At 56cm high, the D-D Aqua Pro Reef 1500 Natural Oak Aquarium and Cabinet provides an impressive viewing area while maintaining a comfortable, balanced depth that avoids looking tall or top heavy. The Weir: Internal weir boxes often disrupt aquascaping and interrupt water flow, becoming an unwanted focal point. D-D’s central “invisible weir box” design minimises visual intrusion, providing an uninterrupted view from three sides of the aquarium. Incorporated into the weir is a twin pipe overflow system for near silent operation, along with the D-D Ultra Flow weir comb, which maximises water flow without raising the water level. The D-D Aqua Pro Reef 1500 Natural Oak Aquarium’s central weir is crafted from black glass with slim, sloped sides that blend naturally with the background, ensuring an unobstructed view from three sides. Unlike traditional box weirs, its smooth shape allows for more seamless aquascaping. The included Ultra Flow Weir Comb supports maximum water movement without significantly raising the tank’s running level. Its unique combination of vertical and horizontal slots increases flow by 30–50% compared to standard combs, helping prevent excess drain down during power cuts and reducing risk of overflow. The comb can be easily removed for cleaning. The return pipe passes neatly through the front of the weir, and both a wide outlet nozzle and 3D-printed flow generator are supplied, allowing aquarists to direct flow to suit their reef. The Cabinet: The D-D Aqua Pro Reef 1500 Natural Oak cabinet is manufactured in the U.K. to ensure consistent high quality. Its sleek, modern design complements the aquarium, making it both a functional base and an attractive piece of furniture. Cabinets are available in six standard finishes plus four premium gloss or matte laminates. Soft-close, fully adjustable, quick release hinges make door alignment and removal simple, while push open mechanisms eliminate the need for handles. The Sump The D-D Aqua Pro Reef 1500 Natural Oak Aquarium and Cabinet includes a ClariSea ready multi chamber sump with a built in freshwater top up reservoir. If you collect from the store, the team will inspect the tank and cabinet with you and assist in loading it into your vehicle, ensuring that everything arrives in perfect condition.
