This Rare Aesthetic Movement Hand-Painted Opaline Glass Basket, with a hall marked Dutch Silver Handle by J.M. Van Kempen, dates from circa 1890. The sprays of wild dog roses are beautifully painted and the silver handle is engraved with a bird in flight. There is a small indent on the handle. An eye-catching and unusual piece.
